Lets build a Vorlon player Character....

Ah, I never knew that. Thanks for the info. All I remember was the ppg coming out, and Sheridan squeezing off several shots in succession... then we see him looking a bit scorched, so I presume he toasted up that room pretty good.

But still didn't kill the shadow. Wow. Even being relatively fragile, that's a lot of juice -- I'd have thought an unprotected human who took a hit square in the middle would be down, two hits and he'd be nearly dead... I suppose it depends on how powerful those little guns are.

It's debatable whether Sheridan killed one or not. JMS says no (based on comments I remember from Lurker's Guide), so I assume he knows what he's talking about. What probably happened was that he wounded it and then escaped in the confusion.

But later in Season 4 when Lorien is discussing Sheridan's attemp to kill a Vorlon, he compares it to killing a Shadow and seems to imply that Sheridan did kill one.

Sheridan killed hundreds of Shadows. He blew up their ships before and during the war, and more specifically he crashed the White Star + nukes into their capital city. Just not the one he took on with a PPG.

I actually dug into Lurker's and found the quote. Direct from JMS: "The PPG bursts would've wounded the shadow, allowing him time to scramble out of there before Morden could draw. He then had to fight some other humans in the area, scramble down some ridges into the cave areas, and then walk out."

So canon-wise, yeah. How true it is for your game, that's up to you.

And on the subject of "fragile"...I didn't mean fragile in an objective sense. Just fragile compared to a Vorlon. They are still surely a lot tougher than any average member of the younger races.
