Mongoose
So I'm an old hat at RPGing. Played most games that are out or have been. I've even owned a Runequest Deluxe softbound at one point. Yet, never played it.

So I'm intrigued to try my hand at it again.

Getting into RQ(and quite possibly Glorantha), what books would I need? Or should I wait until Mongoose releases an Atlantean version(not meant as a slight)?

Thanks in advance.

I would start of with the Core Rules & Companion. Sooner or later you will want Monsters if you are serious about running it. It is feasible to run with just the core rules, but the Companion is definitely worth having. If you like GM Screens, I have to say the RQ one is very nice and will surivive a healthy amount of abuse.

Obviously you only need Glorantha if that's where you are going to run it. Legendary Heroes is a nice book, but not one you need straight off unless you want to run a very high level game or anticipate lots of Mass Battles. That pretty much covers what is out at the moment.

Certainly a modest outlay of £30 for RQ & Companion will kick you off nicely and help you decide where you want to take it.
