Only riflemen get that bonus, not MG or underslung GLs 
I suppose that my PLA opponent sighs with a relief now

But, wait Is that really true of the riflemen with the underslungs? What I mean is they wouldn't gain the bonus if they were using the underslungs, but they sure as hell would gain it if using the rifles those underslungs are attached to, since they are M16A4s.
Seem common sense to me. At least in my local games I would allow it.

Okay, here is one for you to wrap your head around. I'll use the USMC Infantry Squad as the example because I belimve they are very flexible and strong.
A Squad has two section each led by a Corporal. + the Sgt. who leads the squad. As stated the Sgt. must lead one of the Sections. While the unit is together they have effectively 3 leaders, but only one is presently called the leader.
While together enemy fire brings down the Sgt. Would the unit have to lose two action being out of command? No as long as each section leader was within command of his own section the unit would carry on as normal.
Or say the unit is already broke into to sections and the section with both the Sgt. and the Cpl have took fire and the Sgt. is killed. If the Cpl. has all the men within his command radius then the unit still is effective.
I believe that is one reason the USMC troops in this game are so costly. It is the command structure. Just in real life, if the Sgt is gone the Cpl. (who is a junior NCO take over). We alway knew who to look to next in the chain of command. Now once the section leaders were down, then thing might get hairy.
