Land of Eternal Night

I was wondering,

In the movie Red Sonja(Yes bad, but still Hyboria) the evil Tyrant Queen rules over a land called The Land of Eternal Night.

Where in Hyboria is the land of Eternal Night and what race of people live there?

If I wanted to make a character from there, how would I achieve such a task?

I did, as an excercise, work out how the films fitted into Hyboria. I can give my reasoning if anyone is interested, but the short version is: Hyperborea (and long after Conan's time).

In short, if Kalidor is to be even faintly credible as a High lord of Hyrkania, it has to be after the Cimmerian migration has overthrown and occupied Turan. It can't be too far from Hyrkania, because Kalidor can ride there without a huge bagage train, but its far enough that he can't easily call on his followers to deal with Gudrun. It is chiefly inhabited by nordic types, but with at least one eastern ruling family (a relic of the Hyrkanian invasions that ended the Hyborian Age no doubt).

I may have put too much thought into this...

I don't know about that...I don't even know where the sword priestesses would've been from, but from the movie the concept is that the kingdoms are very small like city states.

The land of eternal night was just interesting to me.

As for the Land of Eternal Night, judging from the final confrontation I suspect the explaanation's volcanic. Fertile soil to give the evil forces their powerbase, but usually shrouded under a cloud of ash.
