Kennyboy vs. Triggy - The Rematch

As Triggy announced our initial encounter to all and sundry, I thought I'd let you know about the rematch.
I'm travelling up to Triggy's this Sunday, where will engage in battle once more. As before, it will be at 5pt War PL and have a neutral scenario.
However, I won't be taking Minbari this time round, so no Stealth rules to decide the encounter...

As was first feared, Triggy's plague did not abate any over the weekend and we had to call off the rematch However, we may be able to get something sorted in the not too distant future so..... watch this space.

The date has been set... the rematch goes ahead this Saturday! The venue will be Triggy's house, so home advantage is his this time round...
Also, the lack of any Minbari on the field should result in a more balanced report, rather than the "All or Nothing" result that accompanies Stealth.

She also looks good in Conan the Destroyer with a sexy if young Oliva D'arbo. She does quite an amusing commentary to the film.

Indeed, pictures aplenty this time and I'm still umming and ahhing over my fleet. It's either Vorlons or ISA...

Well, we've started and it's my Vorlons vs Ken's ISA in a 5 FAP War game.

I've taken
1 x Heavy Cruiser
1 x Light Cruiser
2 x Destroyer
2 x Frigate
2 x Transport
4 x Fighter wing

Ken has
1 x Tara'Lin
1 x White Star Carrier
3 x White Star Gunship
1 x White Star Enforcer
3 x White Star
1 x Liandra
2 x Blue Star

The mission is a modified Towering Inferno where ships come on on 5+ turn 1, 4+ turn 2, 3+ turn 3, 2+ turn 4 and all remaining ships on turn 5.

With a few dust clouds and a planet on the board we set up with a Light Cruiser facing the Tara'Lin but both safely out of line of sight.

In the first turn a could of Transports, most of the Vorlon fighters and a Frigate turned up, as did an Enforcer, a Blue Star and a White Star. The Enforcer took out a Transport on the right flank early on and half a dozen fighters chased him, forcing the Enforcer to fire on 4+ for future turns. The rest came on the left flank where little happened aside from the Blue Star taking a hit from the Light Cruiser that failed to kill it.

Turn 2 had all of the Vorlon fleet and most of the ISA fleet arrive. The Heavy Cruiser and a pair of White Star Gunships arrived with the forces on the left flank (amongst the Vorlon side) and the White Star Carrer came on behind the Light Cruiser but chased by a newly arrived Destroyer.

The White Star Carrier was cruelly annihilated by a combination of shots from most of the Vorlon fleet but most of the smaller Vorlon ships were destroyed by sporadic White Star, Enforcer and Gunship fire. The Vorlons were winning but with only a few initiative sinks left and that could be cruicial...

sounds interesting - can Kens numerous tripple damage beams do enough............is his dodge working!

Has he enough in sinks to get behind the remaining Vorlon ships
