Issue 93 of Signs & Portents is now available for free download and includes the Judge Dredd adventure Judicial Services - yet another adventure by John White! (Is there no end to this man's imaginative talent for penning all things Dredd?!)

Thanks again to everyone involved in bringing us yet another thrill powered installment of Dredd. :)

Looks like there is at least a hiatus. :(
A pity really.. as I also itch to write scenarios for Elric.

Funt, diavolo, and botheration...

That's a shame. These 'street level' scenarios have been building up a sense of the day-to-day of patrol Judges in the Big Meg. Not every game session has to be an epic to out-do The Apocalypse War...

Still - when was the last really good Dredd epic in 2000AD? Origins was interesting, but it lacked... something.

Personally I prefer the subtler storylines to the explosive epics.

The recent Sinfield one was excellent.
The Pit, again, was great.
Origins was interesting.

The Frendz taking over was brilliant, but that is now quite some time ago. Ditto Necropolis (or even more so).

Story lines like Inferno and the Sabbat BS were pretty awful. Plot holes HMS Queen Elizabeth could sail around in.

Death Star-sized holes, more like! :? I agree with you - the whole Sabbat thing was a stinking pile of *$@£.

I'm not a big fan of the 'end-of-the-universe-plus' stuff. My Dredd campaign is set back around 2114, so I don't have to wait on developments in the strip. Having these 'on patrol' level scenarios helps to flesh out your sector and some of its citizens. Sort of like the old story where some juve punk tries to shoot Dredd, Joe kills him, and due to personnel shortages, Joe has to go break the news to the family. End result - the grandfather has a fatal heart attack, the toddler bites Joe on the ankle, and the rest of the family plunges over the balcony.

HelterSkelter effect Judge Dredd story was apalling. The use of all the Norts, Vampires etc felt like I was reading one of the worst breed of Summer Special stories stretched out over several months. Plus the cull of the Grand Hall of Justice personell was an incident which apparantly had no reprocutions in other stories.
