I have been reading some conflicting posts on the forums concerning e-mines. Some have said you can drop a mine near your own ships and damage them along with everything else, while others have said you cant even indirectly target your own ships. Which one is correct?

Im guessing they can indirectly target their own ships if they want to risk damaging them. But I would be nice to have it cleared up.

Yes, you can have your own ships in the blast radius of an e-mine. You're targetting an area of space, not your ship.

thats what I thought but I was confused because I had seen some posts that said you could not even indirectly target your ships (which as far as I know would only refer to E-mines) and I wanted to clear up the confusion.
