I love Babylon 5, but I feel that the D20 system isn't right for it. I would prefer to see an MRQ version of the rules, like they are doing with Slaine.

I'm not a fan of the D20 system. The current version of B5 isn't flawed, and just feel it's not the right kind of rules for the universe. It's rather gritty, and I found that lowering the hit points didn't give you that feel. Garibaldi gets shot in the back at the end of season one by a PPG. In the series, he's left in critical condition. But according to the B5 rules, a PPG doesn't do enough damage even to be a real threat to him.
Neo said:I like a level based system, and hit points a simple mechanic but at the same time i also like the condition based health mechanic and levelless structure of something like True20/M&M. I think the trick is to use what you can and house rule and alter the rest.
Wolverine said:Someone I spoke to ran Babylon 5 using the Vitality and Wound rules from Star Wars, and kept the original stats for weapons from B5. If you took a nasty shot, ergo a critical, you're character certainly felt it.
