Ipsha War Globe and Lumati Transport

looks like good work. 8)

Ipsha; League race, electromagnetic weapons, ships use a small blackhole to provide power.. dont know what the MGP fluf is on them.

i assume these are just one off ships for league/isa use.

Shows up in the Season 1 episode "Deathwalker".

Might be one of the ships which are intended for scenario use only (haven't seen the new rules yet. Still waiting :( . But another post mentioned that some one-off ships weren't really intended to be used in campaigns etc as they are not necessarily balanced.)

Well the Lumati was ugly in the series so you can't really blame Mongoose for that. I wonder how the Lumati will fit into the game? The Ipsa are League members so it's a new League ship. The Lumati on the other hand is for an independent non-League race who see themselves as superior to everyone. Maybe it'll be allowed as an ally for Third Age EA fleets seeing how Ivanova convinced them that humanity was their cultural equal, maybe even superior during that period.

I like the Lumati model... but it does look like a series of tin foil covered chocolate Easter eggs...

I like the Ipsha Warglobe as well.

hehe i'm gonna have to order 2 globes and one transport very soon :D

love what they did with the Battle Globe

It's cool to see that mongoose, dispite creating a lot of new ships for all the races, is also producing the lesser seen ships that were on the show. . :D

In all fairness, whilst it is our constitutional right to moan, I think the forums have been pretty upbeat lately, if you want moaning, you should have been on here about 3 months back!
now then, if you truly want to hear a moan, try delaying my Drakh mothership even more.... well, it will be more of a rant, but close enough ;-)

Love the ipsha by the way, absolutely top!

Love the Ipsha model, really very nice, and one of the nicest new models MGP have made imho, touch wood but Mongoose are finally starting to release new models for ACTA that are actually pretty tasty and nut horribly ugly monstrosities like so many of the original armageddon ships :P

Did they change modellers or something? :P

As for the Lumati, well I must say this one I think falls into the same category as the Shadow Hunter (or Hunter Expeirimental Warship now anyway) which is to say that its not a very attractive model in my eyes but it is very accurate to the ship as seen on screen, can't blame them for that, it just happens that the actual design of the canon ship was ugly :P

I sculpted and painted both of these chaps, I prefer the Ipsha too.

moaning about minis? that`s my main job your complaining about :!: :P

the models now being produced by MGP are much better than they were at the start and with the last few releases things are starting to come together very nicely so well done to you and the rest. 8) :D

i think the Hunter beats the Lumati in the ugly stakes by a very wide margin and as you say they are actual ships from the series and so not MGP`s fault if they look more like roadkill than thoroughbred. :?

Yeah well congratulations then, I love the ipsha battle globe.

And it's really nicely painted, it's a real improvement compared to recent ships. At least in my amateur's opinion ofc.

The comment on moaning was just a general one LOL, not about the ships themselves... But as I said thank you for the kind words, it is always nice to hear that people like what you have done.

...and yeeeees... we should have a UK foundry........? (that was totally random, or just me!)

Oh absolutely! I just meant that the only fault with both lies with the original design on TV rather than the minature! The Lumati is indeed WAY nicer than the shadow hunter, its just still not a particularly nice looking ship, albeit a near perfect replica of the on screen one.

Again kudos to Adrian for both but especially the Ipsha which has been crying out for a miniature for ages (its just a damn cool looking ship :D)
