Mongoose
Hiyas!

Another great game from Mongoose: Infernum!

Couldya help me w/these few queries, please?

1. Where's the 'various clothing' list? Should I use the Fantasy D20 books' lists?

2. Some mortals can come from the future, but I don't see any 'futuristic weapons/equipment' listed, other than those manufactured in Hell. Help!

3. The Multiattack feat's prerequisites are a bit confusing: does it mean than a Hulk (with it's Secondary Bite feature - what's this??!) could take advantage of it... or just about anything with 2 arms/extremities?

4. A Shucked Skin Armour suit includes the helmet, but what helmet type rules should be used for the 'helmet'? What happens if the PC wants a Skull Helmet modification to the Shuked Suit's normal helmet, & is from House Sturrach (has horns as a starting mutation)? How much would this cost to modify?

5. If a PC has a Skill 'package' (favoured skills) including Skills he already possesses: tough (!) or, can the Skill be replaced by another?

6. A bit confused by the "Changing Weapon Sizes" damage table: In the example, the last ammount (3d6) seems to have been plucked out of thin air, or am I missing something?

7. A hell of a lot confused on the "Inappropiate Sized Weapons" rules (page 165: Book of the Damned) - could you explain them for me, pleeeze?

8. Where are the 'Age Rules' for Mortals ('starting Age' rules at least)? Should I remit to D20 again?

9. Are the "Size Modifiers for Basic Attacks (melee & ranged)" the same as the AC modifiers (ie: 'Large creature -1)?

Thanks!! Great Goddamned game!

1. Yeah, use whatever clothing list you like. That said, most mortals in the Infernum are going to be wearing either armour or rags.

2. (You do realise that that line was put in there purely to enable people to play DOOM: the rpg :)). It's a GM call as to how far into the future he wants the technology to come from.

3. Some creatures have a secondary melee attack - they get a second attack when making a full attack action, but it's at a -5 penalty. A Hulk, for example, can claw and bite when making a full attack, but the bite is at a -5 penalty to hit. Taking the multi-attack feat reduces this penalty to -2.

Any creature with a listed secondary attack - for example, a demon with the Chain of Horns II mutation - can take the Multiattack feat.

4. Assume it's a metal helmet. Adding a Skull helmet would be another 3 crowns, +10% for adding the horns.

5. Tough. (Optionally, give a character a +1 bonus if he 'doubles up' on a favoured skill, but be aware that this will really encourage specialisation even more.)

6. We're going from a Medium to a Huge sword, so we'll be using the table twice. Start with the Medium sword damage (1d8), and consult the table for how much a Large sword does (one size increase). Current weapon damage of 1d8 goes to a larger damage of 2d6. Now, we go from Large to Huge. Our current weapon damage is 2d6, checking the table gives the next value as 3d6. Basically, use the table once for each change in size.

7. Well, the -2 penalty per size category difference should be easy enough to understand. A Small creature trying to wield a Large sword=two size category differences, so he gets a -4 penalty to his attacks.

The effective category of the weapon also changes based on size. For example, a Large dagger is a light weapon for a hulk. That same Large dagger would be a one-handed weapon for a Medium fiend (one category different), or a two-handed weapon for a Small imp (two categories different).

8. Default to d20 if you want rules for age - I've never bothered with them.

9. Exactly.
