I'm very curious on this product!

I was browsing through various online RPG shops and found this:

It is a Mongoose Publishing Book for Traveller about TRAVELLERS AID SOCIETY!!! I ammore than curious if this book is just a rumour or if it is actually being written as my heart actually skipped a beat when i saw it and i got the feeling "I MUST HAVE THIS BOOK!!!!"

So what is the verdict?!

Well, it's not listed in the release schedule. And I don't remember ever seeing it mentioned here.

Also, the coloring on the cover mockup is a problem - it's in black, red, and white, which is pretty much limited to the core and settings books (and the settings books have illustrations as well). Career books are black/green/white, resource books are black/yellow/white, adventures are black/blue/white, the compendia are black/rust/white. There are a few specific cases where I'd argue with Mongoose's categorizations (such as the Spaceports book - I'd have placed it as a resource book, but they gave it the same sort of cover as a settings book), but they tend to follow these branding guidelines pretty closely. All of that makes me think that this is someone else's doing - whether it's a deliberate hoax or wishful thinking I couldn't guess.

The book appeared in May 2011 on the lists of some roleplaying
games shops over here, as a Mongoose Traveller publication with
the number MGP03861 and a price of 25,- Euro. However, the
initial announcement was never followed by anything else.

It is a book i would LOVE to see exist and if there are any writers to Traveller out there asking themselves for what books they should write next - I humbly ask, please do such a book!
