Idea: 'Book of Skelos' sourcebook

Here's an idea for the 2ed. - revising and expanding 'Scrolls of Skelos'. It's probably going to need an update anyway, so why not throw in some new stuff and magic rules/spells from several supplements? Plus, it could be combined with the bestiary. What do you think?

from what I've read the bestiary will be an independent book but I agree on magic. I'm loathe to search in many books to retrieve data on one specific spell.

I agree that the Scrolls of Skelos will probably need an update but I would not want to see that update combined with the bestiary. The THAB (The Hyborian Age Bestiary) needs its own book. For ease of use, full page stats and pics, etc.

It depends on the pagecount of the Bestiary - if it's under 100 pages long, then I think it would be reasonable to combine it with the revised Scrolls (which are also relatively short if you don't count the bestiary section). At least I'd prefer it this way.

I second that of course. I dislike these small hard cover books.

The HAB may not be a hardback book - it may be a soft cover supp like Scrolls was. I wouldn't mind additional rules on bestiary related topics to flesh out the page count but a rules combo with Sorcery rules and Bestiary entries just sounds like a patch job, IMO. Doesn't the bestiary deserve it's own book, that GM's around the globe can take off their shelf in full confidence, knowing that the book in their nicotine-stained fingers is 100% Conan RPG, best of the best, bad guy badness?

Make it so 'Goose!

I would also appreciate that the bestiary includes some rules about animal training.

I don't smoke for nearly 15 years now but I don't care if the bestiary comes alone (which I think) or not. I just want it to be complete.

I take the excellent German RPG, Das Schwarze Auge (the dark eye) as a reference: there is one bestiary that is complete and you will practically never find a creature in another book. Same is true for magic.
