HYPERION NAMES AND #'s

KONNOC

Mongoose
Hey,
This may have already been discussed at some point in the past, so if it has please excuse this post. I'm just trying to compile a list of Hyperion names and their associated numbers.

eg.
EAS Hyperion______21 [/b]

If it's canon ships you're talking about, there's the Aegean, Excalibur, Lexington, Prometheus, Clarkstown... Forgot the rest. And not sure about the numbers.

Easy dude I didn't mean to shout, I've only posted like 8 times in my life... so a little patience please.

So so far we have the names:

EAS Hyperion #21
EAS Excalibur
EAS Aegean
EAS Lexington
EAS Prometheus
EAS Clarkstown
EAS Persephone

Shouting is typing in ALL CAPS. It's rude at best.

Where'd you get the Aegean and Excalibur from?

The Aegean was in Endgame. Excalibur was fighting at Io in Point of No Return. At least according to wikipedia.

I don't recall a Hyperion in Endgame, though I could be wrong.

The Excalibur was clearly an Omega class in "Point of no Return" so wiki is wrong there

Yeah I was pretty sure of that as well/

Anyway, the big, honking Victory class Excalibur is now in service....

But that was an ISA ship when it was named, there could have been an existing EA ship with the name in the EA fleet.

LBH

I'd expect the old one to be renamed, when the Victory class was loaned to Earthforce. ^_^

Imagine these:
"Ensign, hail the Excalibur!"
"Which one, sir??"

"What ship are you on anyway?"
"The Excalibur..."
"That cool new ship we got from the ISA!?"
"Nope, the old rusty one..."

We dont want that to happen, do we?
IMO, for your gaming purposes it wouldn't be very convenient to name your Hyperion 'Excalibur' anyway. But then again perhaps we should ask the thread starter:
What are you asking about Hype names and registry numbers for anyway?

Hey,
I was just trying to compile of ship names and numbers so that my ships are accurate to the ones you'd find in the show, fluff and movies. I thought it'd also be cool in campaigns to have the actaul ships on the table that are mentioned in the source books.

You see it in the first close-up news clip, shortl after the Omega fires its side laser.

In the second close-up the newscaster says 'The Excalibur and Schwartzkopf have been hit allowing the Alexander to escape.' And we see two Omegas and a Hyperion, and one of the Omegas is hit.
