I got to TOUCH the helos, Nezzie Likes!

Oh and I think you're supposed to get both template sets, since the red one is just blast/splash.. and the other is your 6 inch fire arc and 90degree template. I have both.

What's the point of a 90 degress fire arc? The fire zone is a circle with a 6 inch radius, so why can't we just have a circular template with a 6 inch radius?

The SAW gunner, when he has his bipod set, can only fire into his front 90 degree arc. Unlike the other marines that can do a ballet spin and shoot 360 degrees. :)

Okay that makes total sense to me, but where in the rulebook or unit card does it say this? I've looked everywhere but can seem to find it.

I don't have my cards with me, but I believe it's under the weapon's description. It talks about setting up the weapon and getting dice then tells you about it can only fire in it's front arc.

I'll double check when i get home.

Well like I said, I looked everywhere in the card and there's nothing about 90 degrees there specifically. If it's nowhere in the rules then something must be done cause such things have to be written in stone!

Okay, I have the Force Recon card in hand. It doesn't say 90 degrees, it says "forward facing". I assumed that it meant 90 degrees since we have a template. I guess you could fight over what makes up "forward facing".

I also think there's a diagram of a vehicle's firing arcs. It may call them facings. I haven't unpacked my books yet.

It's in the main rule book. Forward facing is described in there. So yes, the rule is covered.....sheesh......

Ya I got both sets of tokens from the guys over at GF9, should be pretty handy, they've been great for every other game I've gotten their tokens for.

Um, because we want to be able to transport it? And don't want to pay $20 for a glorified clipboard? I mean seriously, make a 6 inch radius template out of paper: that's huge! I can see where some people might want it, but I wouldn't put it in anything you want to sell in bulk.

GF9 aren't bad, although I prefer Litko for a lot of things. Blast markers, for instance: they make great damage markers for vehicles, and Litko's are drastically cheaper in exchange for losing the circular base. I did pick up GF9's first offering, though, and I'll probably get this one eventually too...
