DanaussieII
Mongoose
Hi guys,
I have had to create a new account since the forum no longer recognizes my original account for whatever reason, so obviously Danaussie and DanaussieII are the same person...anyways, perhaps somebody could take a look into that situation for me because I have been having the devils own trouble logging on to the forum.
So my first Mongoose shipment arrived early last week, so I set to the task of painting one of them just to see what kind of model they were, and to see how well the paint takes to them. Here is my first go, the scheme is from a scheme she wore only for a short while, just after her completion, the HMS King George V was given this scheme so that she would blend into the imediate background of the shipyard in which she was mored in early 1940. This scheme can be found in Alan Raven's Warship Perspectives Volume 4 on page 3 guys. Anyways here she is, HMS King George V....thanks Mongoose, these things are terrific!

The basing is done with Vallejo Water Effects (Pacific Blue), it has been dry-brushed then with 4 shades and a final wash of Vallejo Blue Shade Wash. The model itself has been painted in a combination of Vallejo and Citadel acrylic colours. Inks and washes by Art Spectrum.
Thanks for looking everyone...and great to be here.
