Can someone do me a quick favour?

We have just posted the 2D versions of the High Guard deck plans here: http://www.mongoosepublishing.com/rpgs/traveller-1/high-guard.html (scroll down).

Can someone make sure you can download them and read them properly?

What I downloaded is a .7Z-file, a format I do not know how to open. A PDF would be more welcome.

As a fellow 7zip user, its good. But .zip is the universal standard.

Beyond that, I'm not seeing any issues with these.

Interesting, my work blocked 7z from working. Not sure why.

I will watch for the normal zip file later today.

A minor issue, but will the new version of the file be a pdf file directly or a zip containing a pdf?

I prefer reading on my phone and iPad, and neither of them likes any kind of zipping, meaning I'd need to download and unzip the files on a computer, and then send them over to the other units manually. As I said, minor issue, but some extra work

OK, I know you were asking about whether we could d/l the file and open it, but I had to comment....

The Harrier Deck plans....

Deck 2 location #13 is the "Captian's Platform", with #12 to the left (no number to the right.)
I assume the bridge is to either side of the captain's platform, but #12 is listed as ... wait a minute, the key has two #12's...
One is Cargo Hold, one is Bridge.

In other words, there's a problem with this deck plan...

Ok, I was able to find a 7z to zip conversion program and now I have the plans. :D

Thank You Matt.

Given the total file sizes, I think we'll have to stick to Zips.

I just started the download process.
The downloader seemed to take a long time to get to the point where it started uploading - it was just calculating the file size.
And now it's downloaded, all at once.
The files open up in the preview window of Explorer.
Extraction of the files is a dream.
Finally, the individual files I sampled seem to open up without a hitch in Adobe Reader.

No hitches or problems reported here.
Edit: Though I was wondering if the reason why the zip was taking so long to download was because it was mostly loading deck plans of the Tigress ...

Ah, of course!
You know, that should have been fairly obvious even to me, since the download page says the zip file is 30+ MB, but hey, it's easier to ask questions first and then maybe apply some thinking on my own afterwards, right :)

Gotta ask though, since this PDF is quite large, how many ships are there in the new high guard? (Yes I'm gonna buy the full book myself, just haven't got around to it yet ^^)

First try wouldn't download. Second try gave a partial download. Third try was the charm. You have 31Mb in the description but it's closer to 45Mb. I assume something was added to the files.

Unpacked and looking at a few, no display issues. They look good. Wait, the Rock? Where is that from? Sounds soooo familiar.

About 36, as I recall...

So, basically we get high guard with all the rules for building and using ships, around half of the planned companion book plus more or less an entire ship supplement, all in one book..?

Awesome! :D
