The first adventure for the new Traveller, High and Dry, is up on Drivethru. You can get a peek right here:

In High and Dry the Travellers are given a ship in which they can explore the galaxy for the rest of the campaign – the only catch is that they have to find it first.

Travelling to the quiet world of Walston, the Travellers will have to engage with the locals, locate their ship and repair it before they can return home. However, the ship has been left in the crater of a volcano, and there have been tremors rocking
the surrounding area for quite some time…

High and Dry is the perfect introductory adventure for Traveller, full of exploration,
character interaction and a truly explosive finale!

A few weeks early. A nice surprise :D.

With the print friendly version, I would prefer that the only thing that is removed is the background. I would like the art to stay in. Not fussed if it stays in colour or gets the greyscale treatment.

Hmm, same planet, same set up, same author...

I still find it odd that the first adventure is in no way linked to the setting in the new core rulebook.

The new core rulebook has a setting? You mean the subsector in the back?

I compared the sample pages of "High and Dry" to "Type-S", and this really seems to be only a slightly revised version of the same old adventure. The layout looks a little bit nicer. Is there another reason to buy this if I already own "Type-S"?

Is the older version still available?

And how does High and Dry tie into the sector map at the back of the new rulebook?

No.

Not actually the first adventure, just the first that was ready for PDF, as it was based on Type-S and used during the beta playtest.

The first adventure to be released (print-wise) will be Marooned on Marduk, a brand new adventure (by Mr Doughtery again!) set in Sindal.

Basically, we just thought High and Dry was too cool not to use :) If you already have Type-S, it is only going to offer revised content based on the new system and the beta feedback, as well as being a lot prettier, but if you have not seen it yet, we thoroughly recommend it to dive into Traveller!
