Has anyone placed an order since Thursday?

Mongoose
So placed an order with Mongoose for items that all show in stock.

It's late on Wednesday the following week, 5 business days (7 calendar) and my order still shows as processing. I e-mailed Matthew and asked if I was on a black list or something. I don't get it. I can see and put up with an occasional order SNAFU. But, since my initial order 5 years ago (Victory at Sea) only the initial order processed timely.

What brand of after shave are all of you wearing that rave about the service here. Really guys, I'm a loyal customer, I want what I ordered. If I send a kidney can I have my order shipped?

I hate to tell you this, but ordering "in stock" items from Mongoose is a real crapshoot. I've twice waited in excess of a MONTH for instock items to be shipped, and this is after badgering Kelly George and Matt multiple times.

The Ohio facility seems to do what they want, when they want. :( Which is why I order from ADB or another mailorder company whenever possible. It's a lot less hassle.

I ordered a Mars, a couple of Gettysburgs and several Kzinti ships, all showing as available, on December 20th.

As of today, I've heard nothing which is pretty much standard. My fault as I was really excited by the Gettysburgs and broke my own rule about waiting for them to show on ADB as available which is a sure thing.

I've state this before, but the simple solution to this problem is, let Ohio produce, and ADB perform US customer sales and service.

ADB doesn't know me from Adam, and still I get excellent service. Had I ordered from them on Thursday, it would have been on my porch Monday.

Unfortunately, ADB is not given enough stock to fill orders. Since the arrangement was sharing you would think one would keep the other fully stocked but that's just not the case.

I went to other online sources for my Romulan, Kzinti and Gorn fleet boxes (only way to avoid the extremely inflated pricing), and had them within days of placing the order.

I certainly understand production delays, but if it's in stock, it should ship within a couple of days of order receipt, or you should at least receive notice of what is causing the delay. :?

And pehaps here in Canada, too. (I've never had a problem ordering from ADB in this side of the border. Though to be fair, I haven't ordered from Mongoose directly, so I can't give a comparison based on my own personal experience.)

North American customer sales and service.

The funny part is, I drove to Columbus OH, on I-70 this past weekend. Could have stopped and picked it up on the way. If the Ohio fracility actually exists, perhaps it is all a dream or figment of our imagination.

can you really swing by their place to pick up an order? If so, do they have a number or address available? I'd rather do that than wait a month or so.

No, I don't think so. That's too bad since your only 70 miles from Dayton. An hour there and back.

Also, experience shows there is no US mail route between Dayton and Columbus, or Dayton and St. Louis, or Dayton and Atlanta (you get the picture). Stuff doesn't even come after they send you the shipped e-mail. I received shipped e-mails and still took over a week to get it. It was blamed on the mail, which is really true especially if you don't actually mail it!

I've noticed my orders from Mongoose direct tend to be slow, but e-mailing them to remind them to ship the order usually gets things going and my stuff is at my place in a few days. Kind of annoying that I have to do it at all, but it's a fairly simple solution. I'd try kgeorge at mongoose, that's who I talked to before. Or just sales at mongoose.

Just to explain...

The Ohio warehouse staff are under a serious workload at the moment and have, all things considered, done a spectalular job in keeping things as level as they have. However, it is someway from the normal 24 hour turnaround we aim for, and have consistently met in the past.

They require more resources, which we are endeavouring to provide for them over the next month or so. This _is_ a recognised problem in our current operation, and we are working to bring things back up to spec.

Please bear with us, and normal service will be resumed as quickly as possible.

I have a suspicion the VaS 1/1800 navals minis are slowing production of SL 2500 minis. I hope this is not true, but I have already seen these on various websites as Jan release. An example would be 12/7 Games.

Sadly, since I have thousands of 1/2400 and 1/1800 pre-painted minis purchased at less cost, and are still available, and the SL 2500 products are not available anywhere else, only through Mongoose.
