Recent Order with Mongoose -- Concern about lack of response

On December 20th, I placed an order for a copy of 2300 AD which apparently has gone through according to my credit statement. Before placing my order, I did check the Mongoose site first to see if there would be any delays due to the holidays, I found nothing. Since that time the status of my order has remained in "processing." I sent an e-mail to Mongoosesales about this on the 26th and still have not received a response from anyone. I was hoping to at least have my order by the 31st, but am getting a bit discouraged as I have never had any problems before on previous orders. :( Again, if Mongoose was shutting down for the holidays, where was the notification as I could not find one regarding this? :? Thanks for any help in this matter.
 
FWIW I made an order on Dec 23 and it's still processing. Though I suspected that the store may shut down over Xmas, I could not find any notification either before the order was made.

I suspected things might be shut down, but I usually see some sort of notification regarding this on company websites. Will drop a line to you...just hoping to get my order soon (was a Christmas gift to myself :D ).

It's just not clear what constitutes the "Xmas break" in terms of the store at the moment.
 
Well, it is now almost mid-day on Friday, January 4th and the status on my order remains the same as it was on December 20th -- processing. I have also had major problems accessing the Mongoose Publishing website the past two days as well :x

I did receive the pdf and thank you for it, but I am growing increasingly concerned about my order for the 2300 AD hardcopy edition as it appears to have not left the warehouse yet and is listed as being in stock. Is there some reason for this delay?

There is, our US mail order staff are still reeling from everything that crept up during the holidays. However, I have given them a kick and all outstanding mail orders in the US will be going out Monday/Tuesday at the _latest_.

Apologies for that delay, but they will be back on their regular track this week. Just a bit more for them to catch up on than they expected.
 
Well. that's good to know. With the recent problems I have had regarding accessing the website and the seeming lack of progress at the warehouse, I was beginning to wonder if some computer virus had hit your system or something and was wreaking havoc. :?
 
OK, it is now Tuesday night and it looks like my order from the 20th is still sitting at the warehouse in Ohio(?). I live in western New York which is within a day's drive from there. I was promised that my order would be expedited ASAP, and then by Tuesday at the latest due to a backlog. I appreciate the pdf file, but, being the "old-school-type" that I am, prefer my hardcopy editions. I am reaching the limits of my patience (especially as this was meant to be a Christmas gift to myself) and may have to seriously consider with whom I do online business with in the future. If I do not receive my order soon, I will definitely consider the refund route. :x
 
All is well now as I received my order just before mid-day(EST) today by post. Thanks for all your help. When I originally ordered, I checked to see if your holiday shutdown was on and planned to postpone ordering until later...saw no notice, so I thought I would be able to get my order in and processed before the shutdown. I also hope the logging-in to the website issues are now fixed as I was having a lot of trouble accessing the website, which just added to my worries as I thought maybe a computer virus had gotten loose and was hampering things.

Again, thanks for all your help and Happy New Year to the Mongoose Army!! :D :D :D I guess I will just have to be more careful when I order to avoid such problems in the future. 8)

P.S.: Just checked my order status...still says "processing"...and I did read the Forums Acting Weird thread and saw something about a "crash"... Looks like the computer was being naughty and adding to my worries... :roll:
