Good UK suppliers?

Can anyone tell me of a fast & reliable UK mail order service for SST stuff? I've tried Forbidden Planet (www.forbiddenplanet.co.uk) but they're slow and they don't have a live stock level indicator, meaning a long wait for nothing when items aren't actually in stock.

I know I said I wasn't buying any more stuff but..... :D

Cheers

Phil

From experience, Wargames workshop is ace...

As is dancing dryad:

I too have had very slow turnaround on Forbidden planet - I got most of my bugs last month, but it's now two months waiting for my Mantis box sets.

Thanks for the reference :D

BTW, while you won't see one on the site itself, our shopping cart will tell you if something is out of stock (although any SST stuff we'll have in within about 3 working days if we don't have it)

I also vote for Carl at Wargames Workshop.

There is also a demo day coming up at the Wargames Workshop store in Cranfield. I think it is at the end of October.

Both Wargames Workshop and Dancing Dryad offer similar discounts, but Wargames Workshop is still using some of the old prices for SST stuff.

Wargames Workshop P&P is a sliding scale (10%) but Dancing Dryad offers a static shipping cost.

Also Dancing Dryad is WAY faster than Wargames Workshop.

Another recommendation for Wargames Workshop.

I've always found their delivery to be very quick and they often send out part orders if not everything is in stock.

Except when they don't have it, fail to let you know and mess you about over a refund.

I heard Oracle Games were quite good, and cheap prices.

Don't use Oracle games! Unless anything has changed since July, they're not filling any orders, and not responding to any emails. See their own forum...

I can only assume so - I put in an order last summer and it was fulfilled in good order, however I put one in in June... by July I was getting worried so emailed them a few times, and I've had nothing back to date.

Having read the users forum at Oracle games, others have had the same experience. I can only guess they're no longer trading.

Infinity Games offers free postage www.iguk.co.uk and delivers in 2-3 days

http://www.gameslore.co.uk/ are also good

I'll add another vote for Dancing Dryad too.

Damn I put an order through them quite recently. Hmm, have to have a chat with PayPal or something. Teaches me right I suppose for not checking.

Any store that would accept something else than credit cards(which I'm legally unable to get) or cheques(which for one cost arm and teeth in finland and I'm not sure am I able to get them in my limited student account in England)?

Local game store is as good as useless so need to find alternative route to buy SST goodies.

If I could figure out a way to add money INTO paypal without credit card(ATM it says: PayPal does not currently offer the ability to add funds from your bank account. You may, however, use other funding sources to make a PayPal payment, including credit cards and your PayPal account balance.) would be of use.
