For those of us who have purchased the previous edition of this volume, would it be possible to get some idea of what, if anything, has been updated or changed for this upcoming release?

Thanks.

Some mistakes from the first edition have been corrected, some new content regarding the EWF added, and there's a whole new, extensive, chapter on creating Gloranthan characters. Draconic mysticism has also been incorporated into the book.

It gets more.

I've brought the Ralios PDF back into the main text, and there's also a detailed focus on Dangk.

The chapter on creating Gloranthan characters, is that the players guide to glorantha? The new EWF and draconic mysticism content, is it from other books or totally new?

SGL.

Its some of the Players' Guide to Glorantha and some new material.

A mixture of Draconic Mysticism from Magic of Glorantha and new material.

In both areas, the aim was to revise, update and draw into one place, relevant material from the previous supplements, rather than to replace it for the sake of replacing it. For one thing, there's a great deal of excellent material in 'Players Guide' and 'Magic' that needed little changing. For another, I wanted to keep it is compatible as possible with the previous releases.

Another bit of Magic that was spread out was the Godlearner HeroQuesting from Magic of Glorantha and Jrustela. I really felt that the additional material in Jrustela really completed the concept.

Also, there was noever a good generic explanation of Heroquesting. The only book that really made it clear how a HeroQuest should work was the one in Blood of Orlanth (sometimes example is the best teacher).

Has HeroQuesting been brought together in one place as well?

Excellent.

Are the God Learner HeroQuest 'enhancing' spells all in cults as well?

My only complaint so far is nothing to complain about. The MRQ1 previews, now those led to some 'interesting discussions'.

'Cults of Glorantha' will be as complete and comprehensive as possible. To whit:

Cult descriptions with supporting myths, specific magic, skills and requirements.

Sorcery Orders fully explained and articulated.

Draconic cults detailed in terms of their mystical approach (which differs from one to another) and appropriate magic.

HeroQuesting requires detailed treatment and yep, that'll include both theist and sorcerous approaches.

I'm intrigued!

If all of the above is covered comprehensively in Glorantha: The Second Age and Cults of Glorantha what Blessed/Snakey goodness are we due in The Abiding Book and Tenets of the Inner Dragon?

Roll on 2010!

P.S. Will The Abiding Book reference Zzabur's Bronze Book?
