Oh yes... Definitely looking forward to this one... :)

The Berlin kinda looks like a larger Kiviat, doesn't it? Wider than the Farragut, that's for sure, and stern view hints at more small craft (at least three hangars from the looks of it). So what is the difference between a destroyer and a colonial destroyer?

It could be that the Berlin is simply a destroyer of colonies :) but I'd rather guess more focus on patrol, amphibious operations and independence, rather than hunting, escorting and destroying things? Perhaps lighter armament, but compensating with marines and greater endurance?

Well given the obviously round door in the middle a something around 50Dtons with a cylindrical hull comes to mind. Can't think what it would be though. The two side doors, shorter but wider, maybe something with at least partial wings, 40Dtons maybe, some sort of atmosphere capable small craft like a pinnace or a military lander but that's just guesing

Meet Lt. Commander Twyla Fay Fuller of the Harrison Customs Service (Sequoyah 0805).

Shown here with several members of her crew, Twyla can best be described as a pocket dynamo. Only just over 1.5m tall she compensates her short stature with a quick wit and a forward personality. Part of her persona is to ensure her southern drawl is noticeable and pronounced, even more than Harrison’s native population. She is adored by her crew and respected for her professional skills by her peers. Being able to outdrink many of them with her favorite drink, New Tennessee Old Sour Mash, factors in that as well.

Lt. Commander Fuller is featured in Gypsy Knights Games' upcoming supplement, Ships of Clement Sector 9: System Defense Boats which will be available on August 21.

So yet again a clement sector book has women characters with 'boob' armour
I know sex sells, but please, this is the 21st century. A lot of your books have art work like this, and it has put me off buying any more of your products. I doubt any thing will change either, just voicing my lone opinion here.

Old Timer, you're not alone. I've not mentioned anything cos well, I don't know what difference my saying anything will make but you are right.

Just adding a voice to the others. It was the first comment my wife made upon seeing your product, the one and only I purchased. I have not bought another sense. Shame too as it seems you do great products.

As I said earlier, we'll keep all of this in mind for the future.

There must be some players out there that like the https://www.bing.com/images/search?q=daz3d sci-fi renders&qs=ds&form=QBIR DAZ3D-style CG renders if people are buying the books?

There are many who do like the style of the art. I've received a lot more praise than complaints but I do understand there are those out there who just don't care for the render style of art. And that's fine. You can't please everyone.

No, this new complaint seems to be that some are offended by the "form fitting" nature of the skinsuits which are common in not only the art but in the text of the books as well. Some have even said that it is "boob armor" and seemed to think that the breast section was an armor plate when, of course, if you read the text, it clearly isn't.

We certainly have no desire to offend anyone and I was, frankly, a bit surprised that anyone in this day and age was offended by someone wearing a supertight vacc suit. And form fitting skinsuits are not exactly something we invented. Further, you'll note that the men are wearing the same suits in most pictures.

However, as I said, I'm not in the business of offending people's sensibilities. Our intention is to provide products for people to enjoy a game. So we're working on changing things for future products.

I had my wife, an electrical engineer, look at the picture and asked if she had any problems with it. Of course she commented that the lady's breasts stood out a bit but it didn't bother her, especially once she knew the suit was supposed to be skin tight. She DID have a concern that her unfortunate male counterparts seemed to completely lack any sort of, well..."package." She likened them to Ken dolls.

If people wear skin tight suits a lot and the artist is striving for anatomical accuracy, perhaps he should also go for equality of the sexes. I fear the Clement Sector may have a growing problem regarding shrinking fertility rates among males.

Also... some female friends of mine are shall we say... self-conscious about their bodies. In the media they are constantly being bombarded with images of what their bodies "should" look like. Skin tight suits don't help with that.

Well, the lack of a "package", as well as the lack of nipples or "camel toe", is because we had been previously informed that such was too explicit for some people. Apparently, as I have learned over the last few hours, the outline of breasts is as well.

We live and we learn.

Well, we are depicting several futuristic societies in which people are far more open about sex, sexuality and their bodies. Body modification in order to get the body you want is ubiquitous in Clement Sector society. In addition, these societies have extended lifespans where these people retain a youthful appearance well into their 150s.

Clearly though, the skinsuits have bothered some folks. I have already spoken to the artist about making changes to what upcoming products will feature and how we can move forward from this.

As far as our book coming out on Friday, we are going to drop the picture I posted earlier in the thread. We will replace it with the picture I have placed in this post. It is a quick fix but necessary in this late stage of production.

The skinsuits will make far less of an appearance (if any) in future artwork.

Thanks to everyone for expressing your concerns.

Here we see one of the Monroe Space Defense Force's Rattlesnake-class attack craft. The Rattlesnake is a smaller and faster addition to the Monroe fleet which is known for massive monitors.

Until recently not much was known about the attack craft deployed by the Monroe Defense Force. For several years all the information provided to Hub Federation Naval Intelligence, Cascadian Colonization Authority and the intelligence branch of the Cascadian System Defense Forces were sensor logs and reports about fast “hammerhead” shaped defense boats from Merchant crews trading in and out of the Monroe system.
In its annual review of 2338, the pre-eminent defense journal Wendy’s featured a full article about the secretive Monroe Defense Force including the Rattlesnake- class attack craft. When both the Cascadian Defense force and the Hub Federation Navy were contacted for comment by local news media about the accuracy of the article, they refused to comment, both stating that Wendy’s was free to publish what information it wanted to and its readers could decide how accurate that information actually was for themselves.

This issue bubbled on and off for several months until a Cascadian senate committee ordered the Cascadian Defense Force to release what information it had regarding the disposition of the Monroe military. This was to ensure Cascadian merchant shipping was fully informed regarding what was within the Monroe system.

It turned out that Wendy’s was right.

The Rattlesnake-class is featured in Gypsy Knights Games' upcoming supplement, Ships of Clement Sector 9: System Defense Boats which will be available on August 21.

On a more positive note, how about asking women what kind of clothes they'd imagine them wearing in space ships?

So I did, and the answer I received was she liked the overall or ship uniform style for both of the genders. But she admitted this was because of our games where that was how many of the illustrations we used were dressed. Not because she dislikes the idea of the skinny suit.

Please note, I am not saying this style is the one and only, just that it is the style we have gotten used to. As for the overall art, I do not mind the CGI/Game look. In the end, if it helps me visualize the subject better, then it works for me.

This is the best idea I've seen posted online in quite a while. Rather than crusading on someone's behalf, why don't we ask those we are supposed to be championing. I would place real money on 99% of "offended" people not even belonging to the group that is being "offended". My wife saw the picture and knowing I'm a Gypsy Knights Game fan merely asked if I'd seen it. She could have cared less about what the women looked like.

Breasts exist, even in the future!

So long as the intent isn't to try and sell the supplements based on boobs I could care less. I can get better porn for free, as can most people. I've yet to encounter anyone who bought something like this just for the boobs.

Sure, the women have shapely bodies, then again so do the male characters being illustrated. The men always seem to be tall and muscular, which also isn't a reflection of society. So if people are going to complain about the female characters lets also complain about the male ones to be fair. Though I would hope that skinsuit fabrics would have basic construction techniques down so to eliminate things like enhancing genital features. Ah, the future!

And here we have the customs and excise cutter. A standardized design produced by Anderson and Felix, Cascadia Orbital and a number of other shipyards, the customs and excise cutter can be seen and interacted with in almost every colonized system throughout Clement Sector.

The cutter is operated by a small crew and uses a fast launch for boarding and inspection duties. On-board facilities include a one bed medical bay and a two cell brig. The customs and excise cutter is armed with a triple beam laser turret and is capable of a thrust of 6G.

The customs and excise cutter is featured in Gypsy Knights Games' upcoming supplement, Ships of Clement Sector 9: System Defense Boats which will be available on August 21.
