Combining Glorantha: the Second Age and the Players Guide to Glorantha would absofreakinlutely rock.
Two things really bugged me about the players guide - and neither are really a problem with the content (well, one is with the lack thereof...)
First is the organization. To me it would have made much more sense to have a section on Orlanthi, a section on Uz, etc, and in each section have the backgrounds, professions, statistics, spells, equipment, etc for that race. Instead I find myself having to (needlessly) jump all around in the book to use it effectively.
And the second gripe is the lack of background on the cultures/races. We have all the rules on the races but virtually none of the background information - which would be very useful to players - particularly new ones.
Most of these cultures and races already have excellent background already in G:tSA. Why not combine the two?
The only reasons I can see are that G:tSA is more of a GM book while the Players Guide is a Players book - but I think the two combined into one (with Ralios re-added) would be such a good useful book no one would mind. OK - someone always minds, but I think they would be few.
The only other related thought I have is on Common Magic. The possibility of a project like combining Cults 1, Cults 2, and Magic of Glorantha into one book - if so that might be the best place for Common Magic.
