Fuel consumption

Well Power-plant fuel consumption is a number of tons per two weeks, dependant on the size of the power-plant.

Jump fuel usage is 0.1 x tonnage x jump distance
So a 500 ton ship doing a 3 parsec jump would be 0.1x500x3 or 150 tons of fuel per jump :D

If you are using the reaction drive, then it is 2.5% of the ship's volume per G-Hour (10 G-Turns).

Jump fuel is per jump and Power Plant fuel is per 2 weeks.

So in a Jump, you will use 1 week of PP fuel and your Jump Fuel.

Hope that helps.

Going directly off the table in the Core Rulebook yes it's per 2 weeks for the power plant, but it doesn't have to in 2 week increments. High Guard small craft rules specifically covers other possibilities.

Also assumes you're running a gravetic M-drive and a fusion plant - some of the alternate power sources deal with fuel differently.

It is true that you might have to do MATH if you want to figure out how much fuel you used during a 9 day mission. The book gives you the basics and you can calculate the exact amount if you need to.

Thus when my math teacher said I would need to know MATH for everyday occurances, I should have listened

Naw, seriously though, Jump fuel allocation is pretty simple as written in the Core, its when optional rules come in that you'd need to think about what you want your J-Drive and P-Plant like.
