Fleshing out an ISA fleet

I've finally decided which will be my second fleet, and that is the ISA, it was a close one between ISA, gaim and Brakiri.

anyway, I'll be getting the fleet set and was wondering what people would suggest getting next / alongside the box set, to give me abit more of a choice, more whitestars, bluestars or a nolo'tar?

Please dnt say victory, i will allready be getting that one.

A Vic...ahem.

White Star Carrier. A must. More than 4 Gunships is probably unneccesary, but my friend has 10 White Stars and that seems to be a happy number. Some people I know have almost 20 of them.

Blue Stars, also very cool.

was that a couth my Menite friend..... or were you going to say a Victory?

white star fighters a must at least 20, the Lilandra x3+, 1 to be her and the rest Nol'tar's

So far I've done fine with a Whitestar carrier, plain Whitestars (I & II) and of course Victory(s) when the points allow (which is what leads to Dra...someones gripes about ISA/ Victories  ). I'm planning to get a bunch of Bluestars to augment my fleet. But those 3 core vessels, with their fighter complements have been adequate so far.

The 1 FAP of allies might be worth considering for options as well, especially if you're still looking at Giam or Brakiri ships

I like the Tara'lin, it can't play maneuver and avoid the way your whitestars do, but it's stealth means it's not just a sitting duck.

Blue stars, at least a couple, seem an absolute must. It's not that you can't win without them, but unless you can buy at all levels, you will run into artificial limits in a lot of scenarios.

Liandra is just a very nice hull... and the stats aren't bad. You can do some nice stuff with it in fleets using allies, Tara'lin or the Vicki without leaving it all alone in front of the enemy as the x-stars run for the back field.

Whitestar carrier is a must at some point, just too solid a ship to ignore.

I guess it depends on what level you play. If you rarely play over raid, I would get the vickie and the Tara'lin... if you are likely to play where you can afford two war choices...

I would grab a couple of Dag'Kars for that long range support, or a couple of Gaim ships. Nothing rounds out an ISA fleet like long range bombardment allies :-)

Yep, Gaim or Dag Kars make excellent allies. Kill off the enemy fighters, then send in your WS Fighters/Nials!

Anyway I've ordered me fleet box now and in addition 2 more whitestars, 3 liandra's, 2 whitestar fighter packs and the victory.

that should keep me busy.

Umm, 22. 0;>

I think the Nolo Tars are a bit big for Skirmish level ships. Then again, scale has never been the game's strongest point. ;)

i dont like the look of the actual polo-nolo's.

Odd. The Nolo'Tar is pretty much the same model only twice as large.

David. From no one place in particular. Shok'Na. Captain. I'm looking for something.

Try to remember size does not equal pl...

Explorer at raid is as big as B5.

Whitestar at raid can dock in B5 (or the explorer for that matter).
