Fleets of the Fading Suns pushed to MARCH?

Wow.......okay.

Is it safe to assume this has something to do with the controversy over certain rules not really being ready to go combined with resources being diverted to meet the demand for Star Fleet?

Is it also safe to assume that FotFS being listed for March is simply because march is the farthest off posted schedule and in reality MGP has no idea when the book will be ready?

No and no :)

The delay is all down to time we can get on the rapid prototyper - the new NA ships are the next batch to go forward.

And we say March because that is the _latest_ we expect to see the book in stores. We are aiming to have books in our hands in February.

So much for five more fleets by the end of 2011, but that fell through ages ago when the League failed to make it into Fleets. Hardly the first time a game company has missed a dealine. I'd rather see the delay anyway if it fixes the flaws that have cropped up, some of which have been apparent since the initial release. The Vuldrok fleet still needs some work (mostly toning down the rams off the explorers), every raider in the game still needs a point reduction, and all the carriers/bombers/fighters need their point costs, reload mechanics, and general usefulness addressed.

Sigh, /cry. First and foremost I want Mongoose to know how much love I have for them. Picking up Noble Armada is a dream that I have personally waited for for over 8 years. But, a few more months to see the Vau miniatures is acceptable. But I still reserve the right to /cry :D

Sincerely thank you for all your hard work and evolving the game like you have. Its such an awesome work you have done. I just am chomping at the bit to see the new book.

At least Vau aren't too far away. I've got a longer wait, it's the League I'm looking forward to most. But like I said, better slower and done right than rushed and full of flaws.

Oh starbreaker I totally agree. Ive played Fading Suns since 97 and Noble Armada since it premiered in 99. Ive watch Holistic Designs from their own website to the transition to Red Brick Design. I own the original plastics from the box set that include the Small Freighter and the Guild Escort. I have all the deck plans, with the exception of the new Hawkwood Gryphon Destroyer. I've drooled over the concept art for the Guild ships, and personally pray that Matt and team use them as templates for the guild ships. I'm so darn excited about what Mongoose has done I asked to join the Infantry just so I can get more players to check out this game. YES I drink the Mongoose Koolaid HAPPILY and cant WAIT for the next set of miniatures.

well hopefully get it right for everyone, I prefer NA and am not crossing over to SFU sticking to this universe :D

I really knew nothing of this universe and kind of blew it off until the announcement of ACTA:SF, of which I am a fan. While reading the message boards I decided to look into ACTA:NA a little more. This has resulted in me purchasing the rule book and a box set of all of the released fleets so far. I still plan to play SF but because of it a new NA player was born. I'm kind of glad to hear that it has been push back a bit. After dumping a bunch of cash of both ACTA's I need a little time to beef up the bank account.

I wasnt really complaining as I have a tone of Noble Armada stuff already trying to paint and everything that is being released on order for SF. Not to mention other miniature projects. Just sorta taken back that this was pushed off to spring without so much as a word on it after many months of promoting it. Almost like it was lost in the wash of Star Fleet hype and suddenly nobody notices. Well, I noticed. Damnit all, I NOTICED............sob. :P
