A quick query re: Flamelance damage in Hawkmoon.
The main rules (p62-63) describe them as 2d8/1d4 (2d8 to rolled hit location and 1d4 to an adjacent one)
However the stats for NPCs (for example the GranBretannian Foot Soldier on p136) describes them as 2d8/1d8.
Now I like the latter as it suddenly makes it worth using a Flamelance (why use something which might burn your hands when a Longbow will be just as good against anyone in any kind of armour?)
But which is, officially, the right answer?
