first playtest. Overall impressions and questions

Mongoose
Just finished playing my first game using the basic rules.

Simple 3 a side, Street judge and 2 rookies v 1 Juve Hero and 2 Juves. Game finished with Street judge staring down my juve leader and popping a cap in his head from a bridge. I did however manage to take out the 2 rookies so a small victory against the facist pigs!

Overall loved the way the basic game plays in terms of movement, shooting and melee, just have a couple of basic questions:

1) Is it ok to use 2 move actions to move/charge into a melee or do you need to have an action left to initiate the melee.

2) as there are no specific rules for buildings i used ladders/walkways to move up and down counting the ladders as difficult terrain. Are any of you folks doing this differently?

3) Does an anti mugging suit still force an agility check if the model wearing the suit initiates a melee or only if it is attacked by another model?

Thank's for the patience with all my questions, be warned there may well be more on the way!

P.S its such a pleasure to play a game that does not require a whole army of miniatures and wont take up a large chunk of the evening ala warhammer and 40K

1) A Melee action includes a move:

When choosing a Melee action, a model may move any amount of inches up to its Move characteristic into base contact with an enemy model. They will then fight an immediate melee.

2) Yes, with the house rule that you have to have enough move to go up or down a floor in one go - prevents you having someone hanging in mid-air somewhere you can't balance a model.

3) It specifies when you charge him, not the other way around. Otherwise it'd be a Mugging Suit*. :D

* Of course, if you dig back through back issues of Signs & Portents, there is such a thing as an Anti-Anti-Mugging Suit....
