Finesse, sneak and power attacks

Lagavulin

Mongoose
Quick question, which has probably been asked before, but a quick search of the forum yielded no clear answer.

Can one attack be a combination of all 3 of the above. So for example

Character A wins the initiative and declares an attack on B who is in armour that he cannot quite defeat, using his broadsword 2 handed as a finesse attack. As B is flatfooted A uses his sneak attack bonus. If he felt lucky or had a high enough BAB and Dex to almost guarentee a hit could he also power attack ?

I would probably allow all three to be combined.

However in my games I tend to use a slightly stricter definition of flat footed than that given in the rules. If someone is aware of their opponents and has reason to be reasonably cautious then they're not flat footed. Therefore the chances of the situation you give coming up are quite unlikely, and therefore the combination of the three tactics isn't overpowering.

I suppose the range of times when it would be a viable option is limited enough that it won't be an issue. Now and a again some poor npc is going to get really badly hurt :)

If my players start to do this sort of thing I must remember to do it back

It totally works, and if you have multiple attacks per round, you can do it multiple times.

It is a really quick way to make enemies, however.....

What enemies? They'll be dead!

The GM and jealous players, the worst enemies of them all.

With improved feint you can perform this maneouver every round. Infact improved feint is one of the best things to combine with power attack and cleave.

yeah it does, bluff check vs sense motive + bab. lethal against mooks and grunts but gonna have to invest heavily in bluff to pull it off against high lvl characters which makes it balanced.
