god this is silly, i either cant find it or am looking over it, do fighters still ignor stealth when within a certain range?

when in base to base contact with the enemy they do yes

With all enemies? So, when fighters are in contact with non-auxiliary craft, they negate their stealth, too?

when fighters are in contact with capitol ships they negate the ship's stealth. When dogfighting other fighters they negate stealth. AF on on capitol ships or fighters negates stealth and dodge. Basically if you are shooting and not in base to base contact you will get your stealth bonus, if it's base to base, dogfighting or AF fire you do not get stealth

you know, i reckon if you try hard enough, 2 oposite pole iriduim magnets, one on the ship and one on the tabe, the ship will just float, and technicaly no base at all

Possibly edging towards the insane here, just a little. :?

That and it would be really precariously balanced. Possibly even more so than the wire legs concept; very War of The Worlds though.

2 of the same pole, you mean ;)

Considering some of the comments about the weight of the Armageddon level ships if you have enough of them there they might push the table down and collapse it.

You'll have to add a warning to the side of the table. 'If you have a pace-maker please do not stand too close.'

That could work, as long as someone doesn't say something to irritate him otherwise your lovely fleet might suddenly become metallic dust or a collection of molten puddles of shimmering metal.
