Fate Points : Mighty Blow Questions

Mongoose
Here is my question

ok the all might book says :
RATHER THAN ROLLING THE DAMAGE DICE ON ANY SUCCESSFUL HIT OR DAMAGING MAGICAL ATTACK OF SOME KIND, YOU CAN ELECT TO DECLARE A MIGHTY BLOW, AT THE COST OF 1FP. A MIGHTY BLOW ALWAYS DEALS THE MAXIMUM POSSIBLE DAMAGE. THIS INCLUDES ANY BONUS DAMAGE SUCH AS THAT ROLLED FOR SNEAK ATTACKS....
and the we get in to the weapon breaking....

My 1) question, is the damage the MAX that can be rolled normally or do you include what you would do as a critical. Because it says the maximum damage possibleI know it a silly question but just wanted to make sure im reading it rectly...

2) can you combine mighty blow with another action, example call for "mighty blow" and also do "to the hilt"?

Thanks guys for your input....

1) It's either one. The rule says that you spend the FP in place of rolling damage one a successful hit. So, if you rolled to hit and you got your threat and subsequent crit confirmation - you max all of it. See, you only swap for max damage after determining that you did indeed hit the target.

2) See my first answer (lol). By the rule, you roll to hit, and if you hit successfully, you can choose to burn an FP and do max damage.

mighty blow is an option you have when you have succesfuly delivered one attack. if you rolled a crit and confirmed it, then you roll damage for a critical hit.

i don't think you need to state you are going to use a fate point for a mighty blow before you roll to hit, so if you were atempting to use to the hilt and suceed, then you have the option to call a mighty blow.
