So at the suggestion of a friend, I got Faster Then Light! on Steam, and it is awesome. Who would have thought that a game nine times out of ten ends in your crew getting killed horribly and your ship blow to shred could be so fun or addicting?
I have been thinking of creating scenarios based on the ones in it, ie fighting slavers, escaping pirate ambushes, ect. I also really like the idea of writing a campaign like the main game, a single vessel trying to out run a victorious much larger one, picking up ships along the way to represent them rallying other survivors, Mercenaries joining the cause, crewing wrecked/adrift ships
An empire scattered.
After a vicious battle, one or more empire's forces in an area have been utterly smashed, surviving ships scattered, and many including vessels from the victorious empire, having turned mercenary or to piracy in the chaos. A few ships, however, have managed to find something, a war hero thought dead, plans of a new battle station showing it's weak point or anything else that could turn the war around. Setting a course for their remaining bases, trying to rally survivors, they must get the information back before the sector is forever lost to the enemy!
