FA Shadow Dreadnought vs ACTA Shadow Ship

Mongoose
Just curious if anyone owns both of these and can you tell me the size difference between the two? I saw a note in the painting forum that someone was going to use the FA Shadow Dreadnought for his Shadow Ancient ships and I was wondering if it is actually slightly larger than a normal ACTA scale Shadow vessel? A comparison pic with both side by side would be nice if anyone has one. If the Dread is slightly larger then I may consider getting a couple for the same reason.

Thanks in advance...

Thanks. Wonder why the individual was going to use it as such then...

- who had a brief moment of hope for a ship variant of the right size ;-)

You can see the ship in action on this thread...

Thanks! Looks cool. I especially like those cardboard Minbari ships. If Mongoose would do counters like that then I think this game could definitely survive losing the miniatures. Sure, I will always want the minis, but 3-D counters aren't hard to produce, and they can be pretty good quality as well (I think Da Boss has some Drakh that look pretty decent as well). If you've seen that collectible pirates card game you'll know what I'm referrring to. A counter set per race would go a long way toward mitigating the loss of the miniature line I think.

Thanks but the Drakh are All Burgers - and very nice they are too :)

Agree otherwise :D Esp the superb Shadow Ship Hash has - its a thing of beauty having seen it up close............

A set of 3d counters would actually be BRILLIANT!

I love the pirates ones, and they have star wars 3d cardboard minis now too. Very cleaver, cheap and not difficult to produce. definitally a way to keep ACTA going without metal minis.

Burger's been making 3-D counters for a bit...I think he's trying to get a selection of each fleet! He's posted this for the Minbari...

How's about the other way around?

Would it look better using the FA Dreadnought as the Young Shadow Ship and the normal ACTA Shadow ship as the Ancient?

I guess it comes down to whether the FA Dreadnought is bigger than a standard sized scout. Anyone know?

Cheers
