Excel Ship Designer v2025.07.07

On the profitability tab, or the ship info tab, can you set up a spot for a partial mortgage? I have a ship, a converted Animal Class Safari Yacht, that I purchased used after selling my lab ship and I have something like 1.2MCr on the mortgage left. So for profitability I'd like to add the monthly mortgage amount, 38026 cr, to the expenses. Also, the crew is paid in shares, not salary, so could we get a toggle for setting crew salaries to 0?

Also, how do I account for Fuel/Cargo containers on the Profitability tab? We're currently doing a Jump 1 and 20 tons of mail in a fuel/cargo container as well as 15 tons of cargo filling our cargo bay. The spreadsheet is complaining that it's overweight.

Crew Tab now toggles between Salary and Shares
Under Quirks on the Ship's Info Tab, there is a purchase price override. On the Summary, Mortgage will show the revised starting principle on the loan.
Cargo/Fuel bays now count on Profitability Tab

Ok, one more ask. Can you put in a toggle on the profitability page to do every 2 weeks instead of monthly?

Minor update

New Version 2025.06.22

Fixed an error with costs of Jump software when using an optional rule reduced price core computer.
Terry suggested adding Cargo and Passenger fields to handle Pods, modules and carried craft that might not show up on the main craft sheet.
Added ability to show additional fuel purchases for calculating expenses

Edit: Stand by. Terry broke it.

And I already broke it. ;)

Profitability sheet / Cell E22 should the formula be =G22-B20-B22 so it pulls available from Medium DO instead of Basic?
Basic either goes as steerage in a cargo bay, or as a double occupancy Middle Stateroom. (2 tons per person)
As such, in the passenger section a basic passenger takes up a Middle Stateroom. This is why if you have a middle passenger left and only one basic passenger, you should reclassify the stateroom as single occupancy in the stateroom tab so you can maximize profits.

So in a nutshell, Middle DO and Basic draw from the same room pool.

Edit: The outside additions is what is messed up. Both need to go to G20, and G22 needs to just mirror G20

Error Fix

Outside additions from modules/carried ships now properly share the same pools of staterooms as the Stateroom Tab rooms.

If you do not use external staterooms, you don't need this and can wait for a later update.

There is a conflict between the rule from Far Side of Nowhere, which limits the minimum small craft fuel tank to 0.1 tons and the Small Craft Catalogue which allows less that .1 tons of fuel under the two weeks of fuel option. (IMO, both are kind of dumb for a vessel that you need a vacc suit to survive more than 24 hours in...)

-Removed minimum fuel for small craft rule due to conflict with newer publication

Personally I think it should be removed from all ships, Minimum fuel tank size seems like a rule put in just to have a rule. But see what the official word from the Cobra Worriers is.

Hello, HG 2022 page 33; Railgun Bays listed as TL 10. Tab 8a Cells BC:94-96 list the TL as 12. Did I miss some errata? As always, thank you for this tool.🚀. Looks like the Range on the Railgun Bay Large may off too.

Can you check sheet 12-Cargo / Cell T40 please. Should the equasion there be '4-Fuel'!C23 to equal the filled size of the tank?
Also
'12-Cargo cell T39
=-0.01*'4-Fuel'!C23

should not have the - before the 0.01*

When a Collapsible Fuel tank is empty, it takes up .01*(CFT size), so T39 is correct.
T40 got corrupted at some point, and is now (CFT Size)*-1 as it was originally.

Both subtract from cargo when installed.

Based on a conversation in the Google designer thread with @Hardwire and @MasterGwydion, I'm implementing the Small Craft Fuel Rule for All ships. For now it will be considered a non-standard House Rule - Yellow Highlighter Warning in the Tab and an asterisk in the summary.
You will have to have both boxes in the Fuel Tab checked for it to work on anything larger than a small craft.

Damn! You put a lot of working into this spreadsheet! It is amazing! The sheet is still smarter than Me, but still amazing. :P
