A question. When building a TL-15 ship and using a TL-9 Computer, why is no discount given in the price? Isn't it supposed to be discounted by 50% per TL above the base TL? So a Core/40 built at TL-15 should be about 700KCr, not 45MCr
 
yes, I have the Small Craft Fuel Rule set to yes by default. That's not the issue. The issue is you see that little 7 in the TL column? If you are building a TL6 module using Fission it throws an error. Not a big deal because I can ignore the error. but it's there. My comment about the fuel size was just my wondering why fissionable are so huge but it had no relevance to my actual question. :)
I can't find anything saying the humble fuel tank has a tech level associated with it. Perhaps that is a holdover of a previous edition?
 
Hydrogenated "fuel" in fission is coolant. The fissionable materials are loaded for the life of the reactor in Traveller.
Ok. That make sense to me. Thank you. Now can we please lower the TL for Standard Fuel Tanks to 6, since there some things you might try to make at that level and you would need them for Fission plants anyway? :)
 
Here is a rewritten 50-ton Heavy Fighter. It is ground-based or carrier-based as you don't want to be in it for more than a few hours at a time. I built this for the other thread.

Ok, new item! For the modules, there is a TL6 power module mentioned in the TL12 Power Module so I made one. You get an error on the fuel page because Standard Fuel Tanks are TL7. I don't know why fissionables need tons of fuel per week but can we get a basic or primitive prototype tank so we don't have to error out?

According to, what I'll assume is an official answer to that inquiry, the technological level six power plant has the default fuel consumption, at one tenth volume per month.

Fuel required, default.

I've termed it prefusion reactor.

Next Update. I set it to look at the power plant you are using. Fission "fuel" tanks will be TL 4 and Chemical will be TL 5. That way prototypes are covered.
 
Um, Can someone explain this to me. I built this module and the Cost comes to 55,450,000.00. But the Purchase Price is only 20,655,000.00. Where is the huge discount coming from? Is it something to do with the software, cause that's only 25MCr?

The MCr 55.450 is correct, the other lost reading a page somewhere. I'll put up a hot fix of the current version without the updates I am working on shortly.
Modules don't have their own computers or bridges, so the page doesn't add the totals. The summary being new-ish, I forgot to turn off displaying items from the computer tab.
Basically, by making it as a ship module, they are violating the construction rules. It should be made as a station, fitted in a cargo module or open frame cutter.
