Excel Ship Designer v2025.06.13

As the spreadsheet doesn't have a way to implement the use of jump capacitors (I'm playing around with the idea) I was using the X1 option on the jump drive to see if I could finagle it. Tonnage wise, as it is 1% of the hull weight per jump number, plus 5 tons, I don't think I can manage it, but in the process of playing with the area of the sheet, I think I found a bug. I entered -10 in fuel to remove the fuel usage and looked to see that the sheet had removed 100 tons of fuel.

Obviously not an urgent sort of thing, but maybe make a note for next time to hunt the bug. Oh, and if Collectors made their way in at the same time, I wouldn't complain. ;)

Capacitors or collectors? You listed both.
Capacitors are implemented in the Screen Tab, scroll down to Black Globe Generators.
Collectors/Accumulators are on the Power Plant Tab.

So are you looking to unlock access to extra capacitors without installing a Black Globe Generator or something else. Currently they show up in the screen section of the record sheet, but ONLY if you install a Black Globe Generator.
Even though the field is greyed out, it WILL gladly steal the tonnage and your money... it just won't tell you about it later. Should probably fix that.
Also, can you attach screen shot of what you tried that got buggy?

Oh, fuel. Tool tip says that is a multiplier, so if you want to reduce usage by 10%, enter .9 in that field.

I misspoke. Collectors. And the stuff on the powerplant tab is what I missed. Thank you. The only bug seems to be in my head. ;)

Maybe I'm misunderstanding, but am I supposed to leave the jump rating at 0 on the fuel tab with jump collectors enabled? I turned to yes and expected the fuel to zero out, but it still has the original fuel load. Also, the cell next to the accumulator has some hidden text. It tells me no jump rating, though there is. I even put a 1 there to see if it did anything with the fuel. Nada.

I can manually zero the fuel, but I'd have expected it to do that automatically.

Allowing both accumulators and fuel gives a scout ship options. That is why it doesn't auto-zero fuel.
The hidden text, formatted white on white is a warning message. If you have a collector, but your jump is set to zero on the drive tab, it reformats to be visible.

Gotcha. Thanks.

Yup, Deepnight Revelation Campaign Guide, page: 26.
Deep Space Manoeuvring System

The deep space manoeuvring system, or DSMS, permits Deepnight Revelation to manoeuvre at 35% of her normal thrust in deep space, away from a gravity well. The device is bulky, necessitating the removal of the original drive and replacement with a smaller one, and also power-hungry. When in use the DSMS multiplies the power requirement of the manoeuvre drive by four but by using an advanced drive capable of operating
with reduced power requirements the need to enlarge the power plant was avoided.

New Version: 2024.10.05

Implemented DSMS.
DSMS can be selected as an add-on like EMS and Armor now.
In the power table, DSMS is not included in the battle load calculations.

Yet another Hurricane targeting Florida, so I figured it's better to get this uploaded before the power goes out.

Thank you it’s kind of needed if you want to play around with experimental Hop drives
