Excel Ship Designer v2025.02.08

As Terry said,
K says 0.8... after accounting for the decimals in K set to zero. Because I haven't changed that part of the sheet since HG16 and HG16 didn't much care for fractions. By not changed, I mean the settings for numbers for that column.

New Version: 2025.01.25

Terry Mixon submitted a change to get the Summary Page to display numbers in the text fields to show comma separations for large numbers.

Terry also suggested adding a TOTAL CREW line to the summary.

Thanks for indulging my deep-seated need for commas. I appreciate it.

It looks like the spinal mounts on the weapons tab picked up a glitch again, my guess is something in the lookup? Some of the options picked seem to be returning the results of others in the list.

OK, Fixed. When I made the mod names closer to the book names, I missed the lists that the drop downs go to, because the first is the only one that has the book size reductions. Edit - the two lists didn't match the table and that caused the error when the drop down selections tried to find the mods.

Fix for Spinal mount mod names not looking up correctly

In July, about 6 months from now, it will be 5 years since you released the first version. Thank You!
Would it be possible to display BOTH the cost of standard design and a single ship / first of class on the Ship info tab?

I see now that this was already provided on the summary page, when one selects "Standard Design." Thank you. This has been one of my pet peeves since Traders and Gunboats. Is that the real cost or the mass production cost? (I had already unprotected the sheet and added the info. Them's some expensive missiles.) Again, thanks for all of your efforts on this. I tried to do this many years ago and gave up at multiple FTL drives.

First in class wasn't there, though. That adds 1% to the standard cost. Now the three cases of cost are included.

I can't find the rules, or which edition I am recalling, I may be conflating LBB TCS - Trillion Credit Squadron rules with HG, but the Maintenance Cost is including the maintenance cost for the carried craft (as is the total cost). Is that the current method? Thanks.

Since I am lazy, the maintenance should be taken from the total cost on that page, which includes carried craft, but I will check later when I get back to the computer.

I wouldn't call you lazy. I would call you a creative genius with your own agenda, who kindly answers requests from those of us who lack your skills and vision.

Snooping around the barbette weapons, I found Gravimetric Distortor. Is that a legacy weapon from 1e or something from a supplement I haven’t read? The effects are “Special.” What does it do?
