Took 2 players through character generation tonight, here is what came up, errata wise.
Character Generation Checklist:
Step 6: Doesn't follow the format of the other steps, which lead to confusion about getting the skill - do you need to make Survival to get it? Reading through the sample character generation clears it up - after a page and a half.
Step 8b: States to go to step 5 to continue the career, implying that if you get promoted you get another pass at a skill, survival, and event in that 4 year term, which is reinforced by the "only attempt advancement once per term". It seems like the whole last sentence of step 8b can be removed. (We played it as if that sentence was not present)
Step 8b, Step 11: states to return to step 5, choose specialisation for the career, which implies you can change specialisation. However, nothing else backs that up. (We played it as allowing a change, but nobody did; in future we won't allow it)
Automatic promotion events: Does not clarify if these prevent Advancing normally. (We played it as still allowing an advancement roll for a potential double-promotion).
Injury (or Aging) Crisis during generation: Characters who haven't mustered out of a career yet will have no money. Do they take the Crisis cost as a debt to pay off, or do they just outright die? (We played it as a debt)
