Enter the Terrans!

Cosmic Mongoose
Now that I have detailed several Reticulan ships, here are us, the Terrans of the 23rd century, who threw off the Reticulan yoke! Long live the United Terran Republic!

Most of these ships are built by TAMI - Terran Arms & Military Industries.

Let's start with the TAMI "Bumblebee" Light Fighter, which is somewhat outdated. Better than the "Raven" Light Fighter [i.e. the one given in the Common Spacecraft part of the MGT2 book] in terms of thrust and electronics. Packs quite a punch with its missiles...

I question the need for fuel scoops (and their MCr 1 pricetag) on a small fighter. Unless it is going to out there for a long time, which most of them are not designed for, they don't need the extra cost.

Good point - I do not recall why I decided to add them to the small craft. I'll remove them in the next draft.

I don't recall the iteration of the High Guard draft I wrote these with, and fuel scoops might have been free back then; if they'll cost money in the final HG version, I'll remove them from the small craft designs.

Fuel scoops come standard with a streamlined hull. For other configurations they have a cost, same as in the old one.

This is what I recalled after re-reading my above posts; indeed, for some reason I gave them to small craft despite the fact that they cost MCr1 each.

On that same note, perhaps 20 weeks endurance is too long for ships with only a cockpit? ¼ ton of fuel would allow some space for personal-scale weaponry (VRF Gauss Gun?) and still give a quite a long range.

The Dragonfly is a sweet design, tho <thumbs up>
