Emplacements...

After finally getting the rules book, have a request. Why not have Mongoose come out with some pre-made / painted Emplacements? Heck, I would by a set.

Lets put it to a Poll, just for fun, and why or why not.

Actually they were talking about doing full scale game tables although I don' t know where that stands. I think it was in the Starship Troopers forum.

Ah, yes the Uber Table Project. Wasn't that announced about a year ago? As for entrenchments; I think the last time they were used was the he first gulf war. Didn't Saddam place his tanks behind emplacements? As memory recalls we just downloaded the coordinents to Apaches and Warthogs and viola!, no more tanks. Or ask a Frenchman about the Maginot line. Better yet ask a German!

I make all my own terrain and have builidings, bunkers and trenches etc anyway.

But I think the rule is a little 'loose' to build anything specific for it.

If the price is right and the quality is good enough then yes I would consider it. However given how easy it is to knock up stuff that looks fairly good, the price would have to be low.

I really like those cargo containers you can get for AT-43 but the price is just way off the mark, far to expensive for me to ever consider buying them (unless I win the lottery).

Thats it in a nutshell cordas, you can knock up stuff really cheaply that can do a job.

Even if you are no good at it, there are loads of tutorials on the internet.

I'm happy to buy official stuff nut its gotta be at a reasonable price, cos toherwise I'll just amke my own.

Besides which there are loads of campanies out their making nice prepainted terrain cheaply that suits this game.
