Elric Campaign (Google Site)

Finally finished posting session 12. We had a lot happen with very few die rolls. By Jove, I think finally, they're starting to understand it's not just about the numbers on your character sheets and winning in combat. They all seem to be enjoying the setting and the system and I'm GM'ing for awhile now so they can really start to get into their characters.

I have such a vague idea of what's going to happen next, apart from meeting Glandyth and who knows how that'll turn out, it's both exhilarating and nerve wracking. Do I have Glandyth and his Denledhyssi, capture and torture the PC's? If I manage to capture the Myyrrhn, do I chop their wings off for fun? Imagine the outrage if I do that! Particularly to the 'rules lawyer' (I mean that in a nice way Pete!). It's so exciting it's scary! For the first time in a long time, I really look forward to GM'ing!

I wouldn't cut off the Myrrhyn wings man. My wingless Myrrhyn chose to have lost his in a similar way as a part of his background.
I would certainly have them fall in with Glandyth and his band of merry murderers though.
Three Shefanhow(?) and two Mabden(?) with a bunch of Shefanhow hating Mabden psychos. Will the Mabden sell out their companions to save their own skins. More importantly, would they be prepared to kill their companions to save their own skins?
I would probably prepare a Deus Ex Machina in case it gets out of hand though. Nothing splits up a group like party members killing each other.

To be fair, I'd probably only cut-off one! *edit* taking both would be cruel!

Three Shefanhow(?) and two Mabden(?) (actually it was 4 Shefanhow, 2 Melniboneans and 2 Myyrrhn and a Mabden. Now after the Pan Tangian got herself killed his new character is a Na'ane artist, so I'm not sure if he would count as a Shefanhow?) with a bunch of Shefanhow hating Mabden psychos. Will the Mabden sell out their companions to save their own skins. More importantly, would they be prepared to kill their companions to save their own skins?

Back at the start of this mis-adventure the PC's commandeered a slave ship - owned by one Glandyth-a-Krae, I had him cast as more of a recurring pain-in-the-rectum, but hey, Malebode, Xiombarg & Arioch may have other ideas!

The Myyrrhn has his Sanctuary gift if goes too much to crap...I wonder if Laasa will hear his pleas?

This setting is turning me from :D GM to  GM and I'm loving it....

For those following our campaign I hope to post session 13 soon. I have to admit I whimped out as a GM. Rather than have the PC's end up in a fight it was highly unlikely they'd win, or be taken captive (same result, in either case) with bad mojo happening, I decided to be upfront about the risk and they wisely chose to depart Gromoorva without worrying over much about their 'repossessed' ship.

I thought it was just better this way rather than having a player mutiny. Glandyth-a-Krae and his minions still want them, but that's a fight for later...when they're more evenly matched.

Just posted session 13. It's a bit light on as I took the opportunity to explain the saga a bit more and the motivations of the major villians.

It's been awhile. We're upto session 17 now. The site is updated for those that want to have a read.

@Tarkhan Bey

Colin has joined us. This will be his first week in the Elric campaign as we're starting back with it on Saturday night.

That's me! Brogan Torval rears his ugly head down under, still, it could have been worse, it could have been Nalkor Zakstrassan, eh Tarkhan?

Hah, the boul Ronzo has finally found a game.

I'm still trying to find time to get the other guys back together at the minute. The kids are just not playing fair though. :(
Still, hopefully soon. :)

Have a good time DJ. He's a good lad and an accomplished GM as well. He 'should' be an asset to your group. I'm sure you will soon discover that a heart of gold is hidden beneath that hideous visage.

Hideous? That's an understatement! But you should see the rest of us in comparison  A horses rear end has more going for it!
