Dear All,

Mind you, at the rate that "real world' lettuce absorbs atmospheric lead (you can almost smelt it in large quantities), leads one to think there might be some demonic possibilities....

The inspiration for Black Lettuce was real world lettuce, which can produce minute amounts of opium-like compounds. These compounds can be extracted, collected and used like other opioids.

I made it black to give ti some visual punch. It has nothing to do with Black Lotus which I hadn't even considered during the composition of Bright Shadows.

When I first read it I thought - oh no Black Lotus has been spell checked out of existence for some obscure reason (As seen by the multiple attempts to get us to change to the Blood of Roland instead of Blood of Orlanth by various spell checkers).
