Can I place the E-Mine explosion in a way so I don't hit my own fighters?

That depends on the position of your fighters
You can place an e-mine anywhere you like, within arc and range. Everything within 3" is hit. If that includes your fighters, they get hit. If that doesn't include your fighters, they don't get hit.
