Dust

Vortex

I was wondering if there are rules for how dust works. I've looked through the rulebook, Psi Corps, Zocalo and the season book containing "Dust to dust". I found text describing it but no rules. Does that exist anywhere?

That little omission has bugged the heck out of me. They even have a chart of drugs in the main rule book but somehow forgot an entry on one of the quintessentially Babylon 5-ish drugs? Not that I have needed Dust in a game yet, but I still think it should have been there.

I am glad to hear that they have finally fixed that, though. One more reason to locate a copy of the psicho book.

Dust.

Not just the street term for any telepathy-based drug, the original Dust substance (concocted by the Psi Corps as a field experiment) is still the most powerful of its kind. When inhaled, injected, imbibed or smoked, Dust reacts instantly with the user's nervous system and actavates the portions of the user's brain andd DNA responsible for telepathy. Users gain 2D3-1 in P-Raiting, access to the Surface Scan and Deep Scan Telepathic abilitys for 2D6 hours and an efective Telepathy score equil to 1D6 plus thier Wisdom Modifier. They will have no control over thier abilitys, however, and will need to make Concentration skill checks DC 15 not to try and scan everyone they come into contact with - which can cause a great deal of Power boosting rolls for the low-powered Dust user.

Dust also got a write-up in the Earth Alliance Factbook.

Which is good, but some of us started with second edition, so having it in the outdated edition is good, but not useful. Thanks for getting it in somewhere though! :D
