You don't actually have an 'All of the above' button on your vote. I have played loads of Star ship war games some of which didn't make your list (we even looked at Traveller's space combat once - it seemd to make more sense when read sideways). Some of them are a lot better than others, some of them are utter madness.

I like ACTA due to its simple rules, fast and easy to play and not being a chore to pick two or more pretty balanced fleets. It has a similar warm fuzzy feeling to it that Epic Space Marine (when GW combined Titan Legions and Space Marine and made the rules work) had when it was released. If I want to play the detailed few on few, I still own B5 Wars.

What I would like to see Mongoose do is a lot more complex fighter based game (a use for those big AOG fighter mould they own) where you take a wing or two of fighters against each other. One of those where it is 1-2 hits will kill a fighter, but you have the tools to make it as hard as possible to be hit while hitting your opponent. (anyone ever play that Star Wars based one called Star Warriors)
