Dentaag

While going through The Deathlord of Ixia for monsters, I noticed a mistake in the RPG book. In the RPG, the monsters called Dentaag are described as being massive humanoids with rotting flesh and muscles clinging to their bones. In The Deathlord of Ixia, they are large insectoids with black shells that sprout razor sharp spines.

Needless to say, can we get some clarification on this?

Now that I think about it...arren't Vordaks as being described as being human looking too in the OGL?

I assume this is based on further discussions with Mr. Dever. When it comes to differences between the gamebooks and the RPG in terms of descriptions, I plan on sticking with the gamebooks, however, since all my players are fans of the original series, and I don't wish to get bogged down in arguments over 'flavor text'.

Well, the illustration of the Kraan-piloting Vordak in Flight from the Dark is rather human in appearance, or moreso anyway. It looks kinda like a Helghast...

Later, in Shadow on the Sand-on, they seem to become the skeleton guys.

And herein lies the problem.

Mr. Dever's names for monsters change a little (as do their appearances) during the course of the books and in his background material. When you spot a "mistake" in the OGL, it is likely a case of me having to choose one piece of information over the other based on what fits best or "felt" right. Your milage will of course vary...

No troubles; that's why I monitor these lists. I want to make sure Lone Wolf is the game we ALL want- not just me. :)
