The Zoo and its reconstructed inhabitants would make an excellent back drop for an adventure.
Banned Beetle said:Yes, he's credited in many of the books!

Pretty sure the stitched Zoo crops up in King of Sartar..and a faint memory of reading about Cutter and Stitcher.. but it could have been TotRM.Voriof said:Cutter and Stitcher are supposedly the two creatures created/summoned by Delecti to create the Stitched Zoo.

However, they may in fact post-date the zoo and the EWF and be something Delecti the Necromancer created/summoned to maintain the magic he created around his stronghold in the Upland Marsh.
So, I don't know if they've appeared in 2nd Age in any definitive fashion. In the 3rd Age they have appeared in "Tales of the Reaching Moon" and are not in any official piece of Gloranthan lore that I am aware of.
...but they are a popular bit of lore. Until they're Gregged, I think I'd consider them 'real' enough.

As far as I'm concerned, anything that appeared in Tales was official. Much of Glorantha's most interesting works appeared in Tales, and as it kept the flag flying for many a dark year, Greg has no right to dump on it (especially as I'm pretty sure David Hall corresponded a great deal with him on many of the topics).

Exubae said:In King of Sartar the stitched zoo is a product of the warped remakers at Voss Varainu. It kind of gives the idea that its an order of scientist doing the remaking.
Cutter crops up though (or a cutter crops up) as a centaur who butchers his mate into a horse and a human, after a a trick played by Eurmal in the Butcher's Story (KS pg 224)
Who knows, perhaps Stitcher and cutter where created by the Remakers to help with their task, only they made them too well.
or
They're a cople of Undead horrors, reanimated head honchos of the remakers.
P.S. I find their use in referring to the editing as highly offensive.
Just had a browse through TotRM, its quite a good article, it would be a shame if C&S couldn't get dragged into the evolving 2nd Age. (Dramatic pic of cutter as well).Just not sure about Cutter and Stitcher - who only appear in TotRM
