I can remember if it was on here or the Cthulhutech forums but they said that printing in colour would result in a very low profit margin and so the decision was made to go B&W. That way Wildfire can make money and continue to produce a good quality product.
Mind you B&W doesn't bother me at all. I buy the product for the game and whilst the art can be a wonderful way to provoke a feeling for the setting I don't feel it is needed in colour to do that.
