Critical Hits in Conan

We are thinking about using Torn Asunder from Bastion Press in our upcoming Conan game to add that extra bit of deadliness.

Does anyone have any views on how this might work out with Conan, none of us have the Conan book yet? Thanks!

It should work fine. Word of caution in Conan armor gives you a damage reduction. Criticals in Torn Asunder are based on how well you hit. The better the hit the higher the critical severity. (ie above AC). It will certainely make for some lethal game sessions. Dave2

Here is a thought instead of basing the severity of the critical based on how far the hit is above AC. Base it on How far the hit is above the dodge or parry of the defender.
