Could a character be a witch in RuneQuest?

Whatever your player wants to end up as his/her spellcasting base aside, I know that the Augury skill I put into the Legendary Heroes sourcebook had witches/warlocks/soothesayers specifically in mind. Check it out...

Just make sure that you note that it is actually POW+CHA for the skill, not what is printed (I screwed up in the pre-printing editing of my own work! ).

Also, there is some more witchery-esque stuff in the upcoming Spellbook.

When is Legendary Heroes-the Spellbook for Runequest-What Book is the Ernalda's Cult in? When is Legendary Heroes and Runequest Spellbook coming out? Will those books be out for Gencon Indy 2007? Let's have a look at your questions, mate.

1)Legendary Heroes is already out.
2)Spellbook is slotted for September.
3)Mongoose will DEFINITELY be at GenCon Indy (as I will be working it)
4)Mongoose might have pre-release copies now that we are doing our own printing...but that is something for the home office and higher-ups to decide, as it is WAY above my pay grade.

The Expanded Professions PDF by Philip Reed/Ronin Arts has a witch profession.

I'd agree with the above post that the Augury skill would be perfect for what your player wants to do with her witch.
